The Texas A&M men's golf team carded a final-round 286 on Tuesday and finished 11th at the Henry Griffitts Baylor Intercollegiate at Ridgewood Country Club. The tournament was A&M's final competitiion of the fall season.

Host Baylor won the team title with a 54-hole score of 282-273-268=823, 17-under-par on the par-70, 6.469-yard layout. Lamar finished second, 12 strokes back at 835, followed by New Mexico (836), Illinois (845), Wichita State (850), Texas-Arlington (854), Kansas State (855), Arkansas-Little Rock (857), Sam Houston State (860), North Texas (864), A&M (290-290-286=866), Louisiana-Lafayette (870), Southwest Texas State (876), Iowa State (878), Rice (879), Nebraska (896), Stephen F. Austin (898) and Belmont (906).

Lamar's Chris Stroud (65-70-65=200) defeated Baylor's Adam Meyer (69-64-67=200) in a playoff for the individual crown after the pair finished regulation play tied at 10-under-par, two shots ahead of the rest of the field.

A&M sophomore Stephen Reed tied for 22nd with rounds of 71-71-73=215. Also for A&M, senior Shaun Helmle tied for 31st at 70-73-73=216, senior Sean Gilliland tied for 38th at 73-73-71=217, freshman Rand Arbuckle tied for 62nd at 80-74-69=223 and freshman Tyler Garrett tied for 72nd at 76-73-77=226.

The Aggies begin the spring season Feb. 13-15 at the Taylor Made Waikoloa Intercollegiate in Waikoloa, Hawai'i.
