The Texas A&M men's basketball team opened its two-game exhibition schedule with a 96-78 victory against Australia's Team ezybonds Thursday night at Reed Arena.

The Aggies led by as many as 27 points in the first half before settling for a 55-29 lead at intermission. Team ezybonds trimmed the lead to 61-49 just five minutes into the second half before A&M regained command.

Six Aggies scored in double-figures, led by junior guard Bernard King, who had 17 points and nine assists. Nick Anderson added 14 points for A&M, while Andy Leatherman had 12 and Michael Gardener, Keith Bean and Daryl Mason each added 10 points.

Team ezybond's Jon Croft led all scorers, finishing with 27 points on 11-of-11 shooting. Croft scored 25 points in the second half alone. Chris Artis and Kaam Sahely each added 10 points for the Australians.

The Aggies play their final exhibition game on Wednesday against the EA Sports Midwest All-Stars at 7 p.m. at Reed Arena. A&M opens the regular season at home on Nov. 19 against George Washington.
