Student tickets for the 2001 Galleryfurniture.com Bowl will go on sale Thursday, Dec. 6 at 8 a.m. at windows 7 through 12 at the Kyle Field Zone Plaza at the north end of the stadium. Tickets are $40 each and student sports passes will NOT be required to purchase. The location of the tickets will be on the field level and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis in the standing student sections. Only cash or checks will be accepted at the ticket windows.
The season ticket priority deadline is Friday, Dec. 7 at 5 p.m. Season ticket holders need to return their orders by that time. The athletic ticket office will continue to take orders and will fill the requests on a first-come, first-served basis. Texas A&M received 9,000 tickets from the bowl priced at the $40 level.
The Aggies will face the winner of the Friday, Dec. 7 Conference USA clash between TCU and Southern Mississippi. The bowl game is set for 12:30 p.m. central on Friday, Dec. 28 in the Reliant Astrodome. The game will be televised nationally by ESPN.
