One day after missing practice with an intestinal virus, Texas A&M starting quarterback Mark Farris returned to full practice Wednesday as the Aggies worked out in the Reliant Astrodome in preparation for the GalleryFurniture.com Bowl.
Farris missed the Aggies' practice Tuesday with what was first thought to be a case of food poisoning, but A&M coach R.C. Slocum said the illness is a 24-hour virus that other team and staff members have acquired during the last several days.
"We've had several cases of this intestinal virus around the team," Slocum said. "We don't think Mark's was any different than the others. I think it's just a 24 hour deal when they get it.
"Mark is back and went through the entire practice. He's o.k."
Missing the practice was defensive back Sean Weston who continues to be hampered by a hyperextended knee. Slocum said Weston's chance of playing were very doubtful, but not to rule him out completely.
The Aggies practiced four about 90 minutes without pads.
Wednesday night the team attended the Houston Rockets basketball game at Compaq Center.
On Thursday, the team will attend the Administaff Kick-off Luncheon before holding a walk-through practice at Reliant Astrodome.
A&M will face TCU on Friday at 12:30 p.m. in a game being broadcast nationally by ESPN.
