The Texas A&M football team continued its spring drills with a two-hour workout in shorts and helmets at the grass practice fields.
A&M coach R.C. Slocum said the team's enthusiasm and work ethic have been impressive.
"I thought we've had good enthusiasm with our guys and they've work hard in both practices," Slocum said. "We're giving the team off tomorrow (Wednesday) and we'll start with full pads on Thursday."
Among those missing the session was linebacker Jarrod Penright who had off-season abdominal surgery. Slocum said Penright was not yet at full speed.
Returning to limited practice was linebacker Jared Morris who is coming off of knee surgery.
