The Texas A&M football team donned full pads for the first time this spring as they practiced for nearly two and half hours Thursday at the grass practice fields.
"I thought the kids were really excited about coming out today," A&M coach R.C. Slocum said. "We got through the workout without any major injuries and we are looking forward to scrimmaging tomorrow."
Linebacker Jarrod Penright continues to be limited due as he recovers from off-season abdominal surgery.
The Aggies will use part of their workout on Friday afternoon to scrimmage. Practices generally begin at 4:30 p.m.
AT&T Wireless presents the Maroon and White Game on April 6 at 1:30 p.m. at Kyle Field.
