The Texas A&M football team experienced unseasonably cold weather as they practiced in full pads for two hours Monday at the grass practice fields.
Temperatures fell into the lower 40s while cold winds and drizzle made for a chilly workout.
Linebacker Jarrod Penright continues to be limited due as he recovers from off-season abdominal surgery. Others missing the workout included defensive lineman Marcus Jasmin (sprained shoulder) and fullback Joe Weber (hamstring).
"We scrimmaged Friday and some guys came away with bumps and bruises," A&M coach R.C. Slocum said. "That's expected, but it's nothing serious. So far we've been lucky with the injuries."
The Aggies will practice on Tuesday and Thursday this week. Practices generally begin at 4:30 p.m.
AT&T Wireless presents the Maroon and White Game on April 6 at 1:30 p.m. at Kyle Field.
