The Texas A&M men's golf team fired a 305 on Friday and is in 13th place after the first round of the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate at Ohio State University's Scarlet Golf Course.

The tournament continues with 18 holes on Saturday and a final 18 holes on Sunday.

UNLV leads the 17-team tournament after posting a four-over-par 288, one stroke better than second-place Northwestern (289), Purdue is in third at 293, followed by Colorado (295), Toledo (296), Auburn (297), Miami of Ohio (298), Ohio State (299), Illinois (299), Indiana (299), Michigan State (300), Michigan (303), A&M (305), Wisconsin (308), Kent State (311), Marshall (311), and Iowa (314).

Ohio State's Scott Miller carded a three-under-par 68 to take a three shot lead in the individual standings ahead of a group of seven players at even-par 71.

Freshman Tyler Garrett led the Aggies with a 75 and is tied for 30th. Also for the Aggies, sophomore Stephen Reed is tied for 44th with a 76, senior Sean Gilliland and sophomore Parker Briley are tied for 50th at 77, and freshman Rand Arbuckle is tied for 66th at 79.
