The Texas A&M men's golf team posted a final-round 289 on Sunday and ended its season with an 11th-place finish at The Maxwell at Dornick Hills Country Club.
The nine-over-par round was the fourth best of the day on the par-70, 6,442-yard course, but followed rounds of 295-306 on Saturday, giving the Aggies a 54-hole total of 890.
Oklahoma State captured the team title with rounds of 283-282-288=853, followed by Houston (857), Oklahoma (859), Texas (864), Tulsa (874), Texas Tech (877), Colorado (880), Arkansas (883), SMU (885), North Texas (887), A&M (890) and the Oklahoma JV (897).
Houston's Scott Callas won the individual crown with a three-under-par total of 72-68-67=207, two strokes ahead of a trio of players at 209.
Senior Sean Gilliland, playing in his final college tournament, led the Aggies with rounds of 72-73-75=220, tying sophomore teammate Stephen Reed (74-77-69=220) for 24th place.
Also for A&M, freshman Rand Arbuckle tied for 29th place at 73-78-70=221, junior Dwayne Morley finished 63rd at 90-78-75=243 and sophomore Mark Schultz placed 64th at 76-85-84=245.
