Texas A&M Athletics Director Wally Groff and Aggie Head Football Coach R.C. Slocum announced a pair of home-and-home football series with the University of Miami and the United States Air Force Academy.

"We have tried to keep our scheduling philosophy of a marquee game on a home-and-home basis," Groff said. "With the Miami, the Air Force and the Michigan State series, we have marquee games every year through 2011."

"I'm excited about playing Miami and Air Force and I think our players and fans will enjoy these games," Slocum said. "We have never shied away from playing anyone. I think our non-conference schedules are as attractive as you'll find anywhere."

The Aggies will travel to Miami on Sept. 15, 2007 and the Hurricanes will come to Kyle Field on Sept. 13, 2008.

Texas A&M and Miami have met once on the gridiron with the Aggies handing the Hurricanes their worst loss in Miami history, 70-14, in the 1944 season.

The Air Force Academy will come to Aggieland on Sept. 20, 2008 and the Aggies will travel to Colorado Springs on Sept. 5, 2009. Texas A&M and the Air Force Academy have never met on the football field.

Previously announced non-conference, home-and-home matchups include Pittsburgh (2002-2003), Virginia Tech (2002-2003), Utah (2003-2004), Clemson (2004-2005), Florida St. (2005-2006) and Michigan St. (2010-2011).

Texas A&M opens the 2002 season at Kyle Field on Aug. 31 against Louisiana-Lafayette.
