Networks have selected three Big 12 football telecasts for Saturday, Oct. 5.
This also is the Big 12's seventh football season of national and regional telecast association with ABC and Fox Sports Net. The 11:30 a.m. (Central) Big 12 Game of the Week now is being carried on Fox Sports Net cable affiliates instead of over-the-air stations from 1996-01. The seventh Dr Pepper Big 12 Football Championship from Houston's Reliant Stadium is a 7 p.m. (CST) ABC national telecast on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2002.
- Fox Sports Net Regional Cable (Formerly over-the-air syndication): Oklahoma State at Texas, 11:30 a.m. CDT
- ABC Regional: Kansas State at Colorado, 2:30 p.m. CDT
- Fox Sports Net National Cable: Oklahoma at Missouri, 6 p.m. CDT
