
Watkins Suspends Two Players Indefinitely

Freshman guard Daryl Mason and sophomore guard Michael Gardener have been suspended indefinitely from the Texas A&M basketball team, head coach Melvin Watkins said Monday.
Watkins said a decision on the players' future status will be determined at a later date. Mason and Gardener did not play in the Aggies' game at Oklahoma on Saturday.
Mason, who has played in 12 games and started in four, is averaging 4.2 points and 2.4 rebounds. Gardener played in the first 14 games, starting in 11 at point guard, and is averaging 6.9 points and 2.6 assists.
