Aggie softball head coach Jo Evans and the women's softball team will head to the Houston area for some fall exhibition action.
The Aggies will face the University of Houston at 7 p.m. Friday at The Woodlands Sports Park. Admission is $5.
Saturday and Sunday, the Aggies will play in the Spring-Klein College Classic at Cypresswood Park in Spring. Texas A&M will play three games on Saturday and one on Sunday with all four games being played on Field #1. The Aggies will open with San Jacinto College at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday followed by a 2:15 p.m. contest against Southern Mississippi and a 4 p.m. game with Louisiana-Lafayette to close out Saturday's action. On Sunday, the Aggies will face Sam Houston State with first pitch scheduled for 9 a.m. Admission is $5.
Texas A&M finished 40-18 last spring and advanced to the NCAA Regional Championship. Coach Evans has 12 letter winners returning including six position starters and two pitchers. The Aggies opened fall exhibition season last Wednesday with a twinbill sweep of Blinn College, 6-0 and 4-2, at the A&M Softball Complex.
