Junior running back Oschlor Flemming talked with AggieAthletics.com about his ideal "big play", hosting the top-ranked team in the country, what he wants to do once college is complete, and sitting on the A.D. search committee.

Oschlor Flemming
Junior running back Oschlor Flemming has played in 19 consecutive games dating back to the start of last season.

As a running back, what do you feel is your greatest strength?

"I think my greatest strength is pretty much my quickness through the hole. I have good vision, like lateral vision, you know. Those are probably my biggest assets to the team."

In a big game, what is your ideal big play?

"My ideal big play is not so much where the ball goes, whether it be a swing pass in the flat where you can take it to the house or a nice little run up the middle, just a big gain that can break the other team's will."

What is it like playing in the Big 12 week in and week out?

"The big thing is parity now. You know, in the NFL they talk about parity, any given weekend any team can win. That has pretty much been the same way in the Big 12. You look at every week, and there is always some team that wasn't supposed to win and they end up winning. It is one of the toughest conferences in the NCAA I believe."

This week Oklahoma is coming into town, talk about the excitement of the No. 1 team in the country coming into Kyle Field.

"I don't know if you remember two years ago in 2000, they came in here and we were up the whole game, and in the fourth quarter we lost the lead and the game. We are looking for another shot at that. We hope that the 12th Man comes out again like they did a couple of years ago and gives us our support, and we are going to go out and play our best game. Hopefully we will come out on top this time."

Is there any extra incentive knowing that if you play your best game and come out on top, that this game will be the top highlight on SportsCenter?

"That is always a big incentive. We always talk about who's going to be on SportsCenter tonight. 'Big upset down in College Station' is what we want to hear."

What is your major, and can you name some of your favorite classes and favorite professors?

"My major is Kinesiology, with an emphasis on Sport Management. As far as favorite classes, I liked Kinesiology 121, the health and fitness class, and Human Sexuality. I have had a bunch of great influential teachers, I can't think of one off the top of my head. Pretty much all of them have inspired me in some sort of way."

Talk about your career goals and where your degree can take you...

"What I really want to do is go into professional administration. If that doesn't work out, work down to college or high school."

Discuss with the fans the honor and excitement about being named to the search committee for the new Athletics Director at Texas A&M.

"It's a real big honor. I get to meet some upper-level people. Also, things like this are kept behind closed doors and many students don't get to see what goes on. So I am getting a first hand view of something hopefully I will be a part of in the future."
