Trey Todd of Abilene, Texas, and Brandon Burgoon of The Woodlands, Texas, have signed national letters-of-intent to play college golf at Texas A&M, Aggies coach J.T. Higgins said Wednesday.

Todd is the two-time defending Class 3A state champion from Wylie High School. He has extensive experience in American Junior Golf Association and International Junior Golf Tour events. He won the IJGT at Wigwam Resort tournament Oct. 12-14 in Litchfield Park, Ariz. with a three-under-par total of 72-71-70=213.

Burgoon helped The Woodlands High School to the Class 5A state title last spring, carding a three-under-par 69 in the final round.

"Trey and Brandon are welcome additions to our golf program," Higgins said. "They have competed at the highest levels of state and national competition and should compete for immediate playing time. They are two of the best players in Texas and we?re fortunate they decided to join us at Texas A&M."
