Texas A&M freshman Antoine Wright earned Phillips 66 Big 12 Rookie of the Week honors for the second straight week, the league office announced Monday.
Wright averaged 18.7 points, 9.7 rebounds, and four assists in three victories last week for the Aggies. He had back-to-back double-doubles against Tennessee (14 points, 10 rebounds) and Prairie View A&M (21 points, 12 rebounds) and also scored 21 points against Oakland.
Wright had a career-high 12 rebounds against Prairie View and posted a career-high six assists against Oakland. Wright also blocked a would-be game-winner by Prairie View at end of regulation. Wright becomes the first A&M player to receive back-to-back Big 12 weekly honors.
