| --Senior forward Brian Brookhart will share his thoughts on the season, and other things, with us each week in AggieAthletics.com's journal segment. Journal Entry #1 Well, so far we are 1-1 in this young basketball season. In our first game we beat Texas Southern 70-55. It felt good to get out there after all the preseason practices and exhibition games and get our first win under our belt. In our second game we traveled to Miami. Unfortunately, we lost the game 78-72. As a team we were very disappointed and upset with the loss because we felt we beat ourselves. After all we committed 24 turnovers on the night. That is way too many for one game. We're better than that. Despite all those turnovers we took a one-point lead on Antoine Wright's four-point play with less than 2 minutes remaining in the game. Antoine is an incredible basketball player; he does it all and makes it look so easy and effortless. I missed three open jump shots in the game that all went in and out. I thought they were good when they left my hand but they just didn't find the bottom of the net. Keith Bean played a good game and posted a double double. As a team we must learn from this loss and move on because we have four tough games coming up this week after Thanksgiving starting on Saturday against LSU. |
