| --Senior forward Brian Brookhart will share his thoughts on the season, and other things, with us each week in AggieAthletics.com's journal segment. Journal Entry #2 This year, Thanksgiving came and went. After practice, the team went down to the Twin Cities Mission in Bryan and served dinner to the needy. It felt good to give back to the community and certainly makes you appreciate all you have in your life and be thankful for it. As for basketball, we won two more games. The first was against LSU down in Houston at Reliant Stadium. Reliant is a gigantic stadium and was a neat place to play. Beating LSU was a huge win for us, and a confidence booster as we try to accomplish our goal of making post season play this year. B-King had a really good game and closed it out very strong for us down the stretch with key baskets and clutch plays. He has become a great player and team leader this year. LSU is an SEC school that is predicted to make post season play this year, so it was definitely a big win for us. Our next game was against Oakland from Detroit, Michigan, which we won 71-65. As a team we were happy to get the win, but disappointed with the way we performed. Jesse King had a great game and three incredible dunks on the night that really got the team and the crowd going. Bradley Jackson also had a very good game and stepped up for us when we needed him. We're now 3-1 going into the Tennessee game at home, which gives us another opportunity to beat an SEC team. In school I have a big presentation before the game in one of my management classes that I really need to do well on. School will be over and finals will be here before we know it. We've been playing so many games in such a short time, so I really need to hit the books. |
