Journal Entry #3

What an INCREDIBLE finish to a great basketball game and an Aggie win. I have never seen or heard about anything like what took place at Reed Arena against Tennessee. We went on a 20-4 run in the final three minutes and won the game 83-66. Kevin Turner hit four 3-pointers in a row in less than a minute, followed by 3's by Antoine and Bernard and an alley-oop dunk off the backboard from B-King to Nick Anderson. It was a great basketball atmosphere in Aggieland and another big win for us as a team. We are making great strides towards our goal of making post season play.

Our next game against Prairie View A&M was a battle all the way. They pushed us to double-overtime before we could pull off the win. The final score was 83-78 and the whole team was physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausted after the game. We didn't play our best basketball, but we still got the win. I missed the front end of a one-and-one with 12 seconds left to play in regulation that could have sealed the game for us. I can't believe I missed it!!! I have made so many in my life. I am glad the team fought all the way to the end and won the game. Bradley Jackson really stepped up again and made some clutch plays for us in the overtimes. PV was a great basketball atmosphere and gave us a great game. It didn't surprise us because they beat UH at Houston and almost upset OU in Norman before they played us tough at their home gym. With the win we are now 5-1 with a week before we play UTSA at home. This is also the last week of school with dead days and finals starting on Wednesday. As a team we have to stay focused on getting better each day in practice and winning each game one at a time. If we do that then we will have a chance to have a lot of good things happen for Aggie basketball this year.
