| --Senior forward Brian Brookhart will share his thoughts on the season, and other things, with us each week in AggieAthletics.com's journal segment. Journal Entry #7 Well, I haven't written since before the Oklahoma State game, and we have played a lot of basketball since then and school is back in session. We are now 9-5 overall and 1-2 in conference. We beat Nebraska on the road and lost to both Oklahoma State and Texas. Any road win in the Big 12 is a good one, so we were definitely pleased with the Nebraska outcome. As far as the Oklahoma State and Texas games, we just didn't get the job done. We haven't shot the ball very well in conference yet, but that happens when you get to the Big 12 and the defense gets better and the teams have scouted you all year. Everything gets tougher, and each game and possession becomes an important one. We have had an off week this week and have been preparing for Kansas State, which is an improved team from last year. They run the triangle offense, which the Bulls and Michael Jordan made famous. They are very patient and effective in running it. It is a game we feel we should win on our home court and it will get us back to .500 in conference at 2-2. We also started back to school last week, which is always a hard adjustment after the long break. My classes should be interesting but during conference classes are hard to keep up with with all the games and traveling we do. |
