We are back from Arizona, and though I was sad to leave I felt we left on a rather uplifting note.

First of all the food was all and more of what I imagined it would be. It was so nice to have all my family there to help with the food and it turned out great. Morgan's mom made desserts which were great as well. All in all, the food experience was awesome.

When it comes down to why we were really there, which was to play great teams, I feel we did alright. We should have left Arizona with a 4-1 record, but what can you do? I thought we did well for the most part, and felt we played the best against Cal State Fullerton and Fresno State. I feel like our team was starting to catch on a little more to what patience is all about.

A funny moment happened twice in one game. We were down against Utah with the bases loaded, I was up to bat and as I got my hit, Rocky (Spencer) came running out of the dugout but never quite made it. To my understanding she slipped in the dugout and fell hard. I never did see it, but when I came in to the dugout she said, "Sorry C...I didnt make it out." I asked why and everyone who saw how she fell started telling me about it. It sounded painful but funny.

Also, when we were at the bottom of an inning, Lindsey Rippee was running out to the mound (she did a great job that weekend), her foot got caught on her shoelace and she fell right outside the dugout. It wasn't a graceful fall either, she just sat there and laughed so we all laughed with her of course, definitely not at her!

I also fell on the plate when Lindsay Park hit her homerun because it was slippery, but I played it off real well...at least I thought I did.

The tournament itself was fun. Our team is such a fun team, I really do expect great things for us this season. We play today and tomorrow...hopefully the rain holds off for us though. Here's to a great weekend Ags, with hopes of only getting better.
