The Texas A&M men's golf team carded a final round of six-over-par 294 on Friday and finished 15th at the Taylor Made Waikaloa Intercollegiate at the Waikaloa Resort.

The Aggies' score of 299-275-294=868 finished 32 strokes behind UCLA, which won the team title with a 20-under-par total of 836. TCU finished two strokes back at 838 to capture second place, while Houston, Oklahoma and Washington were tied for a distant third at 849.

For the Aggies, junior Stephen Reed carded a final round of even-par 72 and finished at even-par for the tournament with a 72-70-72=214 total, while junior Parker Briley also finished at even-par with rounds of 73-67-74=214. Other A&M scores were junior David Tasker at 76-67-75=218, senior Shaun Helmle at 78-71-75=224 and freshman Andrew Parr at 78-77-73=228.

TCU's Adam Meyer won the individual title by five strokes with a 12-under-par total of 67-68-67=202.

"We played hard today but just never really got anything going," A&M coach J.T. Higgins said. "We just couldn't get any putts to drop. We had a decent round, but unfortunately it wasn't enough to put us in the top 10, which is what we were hoping for."

The Aggies return to action at the Louisiana Classics March 10-11 in Lafayette, La.
