| --Senior forward Brian Brookhart will share his thoughts on the season, and other things, with us each week in AggieAthletics.com's journal segment. Journal Entry #10 Journal Entry #10I haven't written since after the Baylor game and we have played 3 more games since then. Last Saturday we lost to Texas in front of another sellout crowd at Reed Arena. It is a huge lift to play in front of that many fans on our home court. It was a great college basketball game, but unfortunately we lost the game. We were just one or two plays from winning the game. Antoine had another great game and is really stepping his game up as we get further into the Big 12 season. Our next game was against No. 21 Missouri. We came out a little flat the first half and Missouri was up by seven at halftime. Coach (Watkins) really challenged us in the locker room and then we came out and started the half on a 9-0 run to regain the lead. We battled back and forth until late in the second half. Then with 5 seconds left in the game, Bradley Jackson hit a game-winning lay up to give us the win. Bradley and Bernard both had great games. Bernard gave us all he had. He got sick to his stomach on the sideline with about a minute left in the game. It was so nasty. I have never seen a player get sick like that on the court. It was a huge win for us, and helped us tremendously as we battle in the Big 12. Last night we played at Colorado and lost. We were disappointed with the loss, but feel that we could beat them if we got another shot at them. After the loss it puts us at 4-6 in conference and 12- 9 overall. We have a must-win game against Iowa State at home on Wednesday and then play at Tech on Saturday. |
