On Saturday, April 12, Texas A&M Head Football Coach Dennis Franchione and the Aggie football team will conduct the Maroon & White Spring Football Game with kickoff scheduled for 2 p.m.

"That particular weekend is Parent's Weekend and we look forward to having a great crowd at the game," Coach Fran said. "There will be a lot of different activities and I look forward to getting to see as many people as possible. We will have an opportunity for fans to meet our team and to get autographs before the game at the MSC."

"We haven't decided on the breakdown of the team," Coach Fran added. "We may keep the offensive and defensive units together, or we may draft, we'll see how the spring progresses. One thing is for sure, no Aggie football game is complete without the Fightin' Texas Aggie Band, and they will perform at halftime. The yell leaders will also be there."

Some of the other events surrounding the game will be Midnight Yell Practice at Kyle Field Friday. The Aggie football team will be signing autographs in the Flag Room of the Memorial Student Center from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Saturday, Apr. 12.

The Parent's Weekend Bevo Barbecue will be conducted on Simpson Drill Field from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday before the game.

Tickets for the game can be purchased in advance for $5 for adults, with age 12 and under admitted free. Tickets can be purchased at the Athletic Ticket Office in the lobby of G. Rollie White Coliseum, or fans may order by calling 1-888-99-AGGIE (888-992-4443) or 979-845-2311.

Tickets may be purchased the day of the game, but will cost $7 for adults, and children 12 and under are admitted free. The net proceeds from the game will go toward the South End Zone complex.

The four main gates surrounding the stadium will open at 12 noon. Fans may sit in the first deck surrounding the field, and an overflow area will be the upper deck of the Zone.

Coach Fran will join the radio crew of Dave South and Tim Cassidy in the booth and the game can be heard on the Aggie Football Radio Network. (A complete listing of stations can be found on the Aggie website, AggieAthletics.com.) Coach Fran will offer insight into the team's progress in the spring for Aggie fans.
