The final day of play in the Democrat Invitiational has been cancelled due to inclement weather. After having already altered the weekend schedule on Friday because of wet fields, tournament officials cancelled Sunday's play after rain soaked the fields throughout the night on Saturday.
The No. 19 Aggies (18-8) were 2-1 in the tournament with wins against Georgia State and Florida A&M and a loss to Iowa.
The Aggies were led in the tournament by sophomore Jana James who was six of eight at the plate with a .750 average including 3 RBI's.
A&M will travel to Miami to play in the Blue & Gold Classic hosted by Florida International. The Aggies will play Massachusetts and FIU on Friday and Florida Atlantic and Syracuse on Saturday in order to earn a seed for Sunday's championship.
