Texas A&M has made a bid to host a 2003 National Invitation Tournament (NIT) regional at Reed Arena next week.

The host sites and dates will be announced on Sunday night. Possible dates are Monday, Wednesday (March 19) or Thursday (March 20).

If A&M is selected as a host site, ticket prices will be $20 (courtside), $15 (mezzanine) and $10 (balcony and gallery). Student tickets will be $4 for all sections.

If A&M receives the NIT host bid, the following procedures will be used to sell tickets:

  • Tickets will go on sale Monday at 8 a.m. at the Athletic Ticket Office in G. Rollie White Coliseum and at Reed Arena.
  • Season ticket holders will have until 4 p.m. to purchase the same seat location. After this time, all unsold season tickets will be made available to the general public.
  • Call the athletic ticket office at 979-845-2311 or toll-free 888-99-AGGIE to order your same seat location. You may also purchase your tickets in person at the athletic ticket office or at Reed Arena. Please DO NOT call Ticketmaster to obtain your same seat location. They will not have your seats available on their system.
  • Additional tickets may be purchased but they will be sold from the best seat available and not from the season ticket locations.
  • General public tickets may be purchased in person at the Athletic Ticket Office in G. Rollie White or at Reed Arena. ALL general public phone orders must go through Ticketmaster at 979-268-0414. Tickets can also be purchased online at Ticketmaster.com.
  • Student tickets will be sold IN PERSON ONLY at the athletic ticket office in G. Rollie White or at Reed Arena. A Texas A&M sports card is NOT VALID for this tournament. A Texas A&M student ID must be presented at the time of purchase and at the gates upon entering the arena. Student tickets are discounted and will be sold in the student-designated block only. Any student who does not wish to receive a ticket in the student block may purchase a ticket at regular face value in the best seat available locations. Guest tickets may be purchased to sit in the student block at regular face value.
  • Doors will open 90 minutes before tipoff.
  • Parking will be sold as you enter the lots to attend the game. The price will be $2 per car.

The Aggies play Iowa State in the first round of the Phillips 66 Big 12 Tournament on Thursday at noon at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.
