The 23rd ranked Texas A&M softball team (21-11, 1-1) will host No. 5 Nebraska (19-5, 1-1) in two games this weekend at the Aggie Softball Complex. The Aggies will take on the Huskers at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday and 1:00 p.m. on Sunday.
This will be the first home game for the Aggies in their last 14 games. The Aggies last played at home on February 23 when they closed out the St. Joseph's Aggie Invitational II with two wins over Prairie View A&M. During its road trip the team has traveled from California to Florida in preparation for Big 12 play. The Aggies played in and won the Stanford Classic in Palo Alto,California and they played in two rain-shortened tournaments in Florida including the Tallahassee Democrat Invitiational hosted by Florida State and the Blue & Gold Classic hosted by Florida International in Miami.
The Aggies are coming off of their conference opener against Texas Tech in Lubbock on Wednesday. The Aggies and Red Raiders split the double header as Tech won the first game 4-1 and A&M took the second 10-1.
Nebraska opened its conference season yesterday as they took on the No. 4 Oklahoma Sooners in a double header and came out with a 1-1 record. Nebraska dropped game one 1-0 to Oklahoma and rebounded in the second game as they beat the Sooners 8-0.
