| --Senior softball player Selena Collins will share her thoughts on the season, and other things, with us each week in AggieAthletics.com's player diary segment. March 24, 2003 WHOOOOOP! This weekend was a weekend filled with excitement and confidence. We swept Nebraska this weekend, which is something the Aggies have not done in the years that I have been here. To come out as we did and play with heart and confidence is something that is so characteristic of the potential of our team. This weekend was not one where one individual put together all the hits, rather it was a weekend that was conquered by the whole team. To have a whole team contribute to the wins this weekend is something that is so encouraging. The thing that I was so encouraged about was that we did not sit on one win, we knew we wanted to take two wins and we came out played just as if we were not satisfied to win one game. I know without a shadow of a doubt that if we continue to play as we have these past three games great things will come. To have everyone, from freshman to seniors, step up this weekend was a huge deal. To have the dugout in the game at all times is a big deal. It is such a great feeling to know what we are capable of, we are such a great team with such great talent that I look forward to being able to carry this kind of intensity throughout the season. Another great thing about this team is that even though we had errors on defense, no one gave up. We continued to believe in ourselves and our abilities and we put hits together and sharpened up our defense. I am just so excited, not just because we beat Nebraska, but because we came out there this weekend and showed everyone and ourselves what we are truly capable of. Great Weekend AGS. Here is to you guys..."Oh Happy Day". This is our new song we sing before games for all of you who do not know. Continue to work hard Ags, for great things come to those who work hard.
