The Texas A&M volleyball team has added the SMU Spring Tournament to its spring exhibition schedule and will travel to Dallas on Saturday to participate in the eight-team event.
The Aggies are slated to play three matches, starting with a 10 a.m. match-up against TCU. A&M faces Big 12 foe Baylor at 11 a.m. and concludes the one-day tournament with a 2 p.m. meeting against North Texas.
Matches will be two games to 30 points and will be played at Moody Coliseum on the SMU campus. Other teams participating in the tournament are Texas-Arlington, Tulsa and an SMU alumni team.
The Aggies opened their spring competition last weekend, going 3-1 at the Arizona Spring Tournament in Tucson. A&M defeated Pittsburgh, 30-23, 30-26, 15-6, and fell to Louisville, 30-28, 30-25, 15-13, in pool play. They then went on to down Arizona State, 37-35, 30-23, and Colorado State, 34-32, 30-25, to conclude the tournament.
