Junior Nolan Butterfras has left the Texas A&M basketball team, coach Melvin Watkins said Thursday.
"After our end-of-season meeting, Nolan decided he would transfer and explore other opportunities," Watkins said. "We agreed that it would be in his best interest to look for an opportunity that would better fit his needs. We wish Nolan the best."
Butterfras, a 6-10 center from Houston (Cypress Creek High School), played in 17 games this season, averaging 1.1 points and 0.8 rebounds. He played in 19 games as a sophomore and in 26 as a freshman, including 10 starts.
