Texas A&M head coach Dennis Franchione's Aggie football team will close out its 2003 spring drills with the Maroon & White game presented by AT&T Wireless at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 12 at Kyle Field.
Surrounding the game will be a multitude of attractions and fun activities that will make a fun time for the entire family.
On Saturday, the Aggie football team kicks off the festivities with an autograph and photo session at the Memorial Student Center Flagroom from 9:30 -11 a.m. All the Aggie players and coaches will be available, and the First Lady of Aggieland, Reveille VII, will also be in attendance. Fans can pick up an offensive and defensive Aggie football poster and football schedule cards at the session, and at the Maroon & White game.
The Parent's Weekend "Bevo Barbecue" will be conducted on Simpson Drill Field from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday before the game.
The first 3,000 fans inside the gates at Kyle Field will receive a collector's edition puzzle (10" x 14") featuring Coach Fran, courtesy of AT&T Wireless. The gates at Kyle Field will open at 12 noon.
Also prior to the game, there will be a ceremony recognizing Aggies who are serving in battle or in support of the Gulf War. The Association of Former Students invites Aggie fans to visit a special website: , and let them know about Aggies that are active in the Armed Forces.
Texas A&M's Parents of the Year Keith and Tryn Wilson of Plano Texas will participate in the coin flip prior to the game. Also, prior to the game, the entire football team will be introduced to the crowd.
The Fightin' Texas Aggie Band will attend the Maroon & White game and will perform at halftime.
Also at halftime, five randomly selected fans will participate in a field goal kicking contest with the chance to win a variety of Aggie football-related prizes.
Tickets for the game can be purchased in advance for $5 for adults, with age 12 and under admitted free. Tickets can be purchased at the Athletic Ticket Office in the lobby of G. Rollie White Coliseum, or fans may order by calling 1-888-99-AGGIE (888-992-4443) or 979-845-2311.
