Head Coach Dennis Franchione and the Aggie football team kick off a new era on Aug. 30, 2003, when Arkansas State visits Kyle Field for the season opener. Season tickets, which cover seven home games, are now on sale for $375.

Renewal forms will be mailed this week to last year's season-ticket holders, and Aggie fans must respond by May 1 or their tickets will be released so new orders can be filled.

The seven-game home schedule is as follows:

 Aug. 30 Arkansas State ($40) Sept. 6 Utah ($40) Sept. 27 Pittsburgh ($55) Oct. 11 Baylor ($55) Oct. 25 Oklahoma State ($55) Nov. 1 Kansas ($55) Nov. 28 Texas ($75)

Bill Byrne, Texas A&M's new director of athletics, has vowed to upgrade the look and feel of the Kyle Field experience as a source of pride and prime entertainment for Aggie fans. In announcing the season ticket campaign, Byrne said, "Our goal is to have Kyle Field sold out with season-ticket holders in full support of Coach Fran's new-look team. That goal also supports our vision for providing Aggie fans high entertainment and enjoyment value with one of the elite Division I college football programs. The moment a fan walks into the stadium, it should provide a championship aura in every facet of the game-day experience."

"With the likes of national powers Pittsburgh, Florida State, Miami and Clemson visiting in the near future, along with the marquee teams in our own Big 12 Conference, now is the time to lock up Kyle Field tickets," Byrne said.

The allocation and the price of student tickets (half of the listed price for each game) will remain unchanged. An exciting new wrinkle for Texas A&M students is the option of picking up a season ticket. Students also have the option to pull tickets each week.

"Texas A&M is known for the strong support of the 12th Man, the student body standing ready to support our teams, and we want to enhance that support any way possible," Byrne said.
