| --Senior softball player Selena Collins will share her thoughts on the season, and other things, with us each week in AggieAthletics.com's player diary segment. April 18, 2003 Wow, it's so hard to believe that tomorrow is our senior day! Its so weird, all of us seniors got together the other night and just talked about how hard it is to believe that we are seniors and that this is our last year playing for A&M. We remember coming on our visits not having a clue as to what was to come. We had no idea just how fast this day would really come for us. People always say to enjoy your days in college and to enjoy playing because it comes and goes so fast. You never really stop to think about it until it is already here. I can't really even begin to talk about how grateful I really am to coaches and my teammates. The bond and love that I feel for these girls is something that can never be replaced. The friendships and relationships we have built with one another is something that we will have forever. Never did I think that day would come so fast that we the seniors would be doing senior pass downs, or never did I realize how fast it would come that we would be receiving senior gifts instead of making them. They say time flies when you are having fun but I never really took that to heart until now. I love this game more than anything. The game of softball has provided me with opportunities that I never imagined I would have. I am grateful to this sport and the love I feel for this game will be something I carry with me for as long as I live. I look forward to the rest of the season and I look forward to what's to come. I have great expectations for our team. I look for us to get to the level we haven't been in a long time. I look forward to being a part of that. We still have a long ways to go so senior day is not just about appreciation and goodbye but its about appreciation and new beginnings. I also look forward to what's in store for me after the season, for I know great things lie ahead. I look forward to a great rest of the season...so here we go Ags, prepare for a great ride. Good luck this weekend and beat the hell outta the Cyclones.
