Texas A&M senior Selena Collins, junior Lindsay Wilhelmson and sophomore Adiran Gregory were named to the 2003 Midwest All-Region team Wednesday. Collins was named to the first team as a catcher while Wilhelmson and Gregory were awarded spots on the second team as a utility player and second baseman respectively.
Collins, a senior from Glendale, Arizona, earned a spot on the first team for the second season in a row after hitting .284 with 11 home runs, 11 doubles, 35 RBI's and a Big 12 leading 43 walks.
As a pitcher Wilhelmson, a junior from North Richland Hills, Texas, led the team with a 16-7 record and a staff-best 1.91 ERA. At the plate Wilhelmson hit at a .252 clip with 30 RBI's and a Big 12 leading 12 home runs.
Gregory, a sophomore from Livingston, Texas, was third on the team with a .299 average and nine home runs. She was second on the team with 31 RBI's while hitting 9 doubles and 4 triples.
No. 22 Texas A&M takes on Boston College in NCAA first round action at the regional in Tucson, Arizona.
