Texas A&M's Parker Briley has been named to the Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar Team, the Golf Coaches Association of America has announced.
Briley, a junior finance major from Abilene (Wylie HS), ranked third on the team in scoring with a 74.74 average and tied the school scoring record with a six-under-par 64 at The Maxwell Intercollegiate on May 10. Briley also earned Academic All-Big 12 honors this spring.
"Parker is very deserving of this honor," A&M coach J.T. Higgins said. "It's very difficult to balance academics with a rigorous practice and tournament schedule, but he did a great job of achieving that balance and being successful in both areas."
