Texas A&M Head Football Coach Dennis Franchione will welcome 105 Aggie football players to campus on Tuesday, Aug. 5.
"We're excited to officially welcome our players back to campus," Coach Fran said. "A lot of the players have been here this summer working out and I expect the players to report in shape and ready to go to work."
At a noon press luncheon on Monday, Franchione announced that Randall Webb, a junior linebacker from Mesquite, Texas, will not report on Tuesday.
"Randall Webb has been dismissed from the team for a violation of team and athletic department rules," Coach Fran said.
Tight end Joey Thomas from Austin Westlake High School and Tate Pittman, a defensive lineman from Odessa Permian High School, are not expected to be among the 105 reporting due to injuries.
The Aggies open the 2003 season on Aug. 30 against Arkansas State at Kyle Field. The game will kick at 7 p.m. and the contest will be televised on a pay-per-view basis.
