This week, fans submitted questions for running back Courtney Lewis. The redshirt freshman led the team with 74 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday's 26-11 win over Arkansas State at Kyle Field. Here's what he had to say:

How do you stay pumped up in the fourth quarter when the ball game is close and you know the game may be riding on your effort? I'm a real fan of yours. --Chic Anderson, Class of '52

Courtney Lewis

"Well, it's the way we practice and how Coach Fran has it set up. What we do in practice is all in preparation for the game. So, when the fourth quarter comes around, we're already prepared for any situation that could come along."

How did it feel breaking a 40+ yard rushing TD in your first game at Kyle Field? --Kristan Harrison, Victoria, Class of '05

"It felt great. Having the blocking up front, reading the blocks, and having my speed just carry over like that felt great."

After having such a great first game, how excited are you about this upcoming season for you and this team with the rushing game? --Omar Ghalayini, Sugar Land, Class of '00

"It should be a great season for the rushing game. Coach Fran has brought his playbook over from Alabama, and all the breakaway plays that he created there will allow our rushing game here to be good this season."

Did you expect to contribute this quickly after coming to Aggieland, and what are your goals for the team this year? --James Stegall, Houston, Class of '98

"Yes and no. I was going to contribute, you know, helping out a little back as a backup. My priorities were just to come into the game and do my best, execute some plays and try to do well. My goal for this season is to advance to the postseason, to compete for a bowl game. I want us to have a good record and bring the football fever back to Aggieland."

How would you rate the offensive performance against Arkansas State? --Tim Trae Tindall, Houston, Class of '96

"I think at first it was kind of shaky, considering it was the first game. The blitz package that Arkansas State was running was kind of hard for the offensive line to pick up at first, but later on in the game we really tightened up and picked up the blitzes. That allowed me to find open holes and (eventually) score."
