Thirteen Aggies saw action as Texas A&M swept Centenary, 30-12, 30-25, 30-17, in front of 1,063 at G. Rollie White.

With the victory, the Aggies improve to 2-0 at the McDonald's/Texas Invitational and 7-1 for the season. In addition, the win sets up a showdown between the Aggies and No. 1 USC tonight at 7 p.m. for the tournament title.

Senior outside hitter Beth Skypala (Amarillo, Texas) led the Aggies with a match-high 14 kills and a career-high .500 hitting percentage as A&M outhit the Ladies, .313 to .124. Junior middle blocker Kendra Felder (Corpus Christi, Texas) also reached double digits in kills with 10 and led the Aggies with three blocks as A&M outblocked Centenary, 6-1.

Junior Carrie Moreira (Stockton, Calif.), drawing the second start of her A&M career, led defensively with a career-high 11 digs. As a team, the Aggies posted 48 digs to Centenary's 36. In addition, A&M tallied nine aces while not allowing a single ace by the Ladies.

Kelley Heckman and Tracee Byrd led Centenary with seven kills apiece. Ashley Templer posted a match-high 12 digs as the Ladies fell to 3-8 overall and 0-2 at the tournament.

In the first match of day two of the McDonald's/Texas A&M Invitational, No. 1 USC defeated Southwest Missouri State, 30-24, 30-23, 30-16, to improve to 8-0 overall and 2-0 at the tournament.
