I can't believe it's time to be back already, the summer really did fly by. I must say though, softball wise, it was the most productive summer yet. So many of our girls were working hard to better themselves in both the weight room and on the playing field. It was definitely an awesome thing to see.
We had our annual team meeting on Sunday. I look forward to this every year because you get to see everyone and hear their summer stories. It's like a big family reunion. There were many new faces there this year though. We have five freshmen joining our team this year and we couldn't be more excited. They are all hard workers and should make and immediate impact on our team.
We don't get to start team practices until September 22nd, but we are allowed to have two hours of individual practices per week. Individuals is one of my favorite things to do. You get to focus on your weaknesses and better your skills as an individual. This is such an important step because we don't have enough time to focus on most of these things during our team practices.
Everyone is excited to get this season under way and see their hard work pay off. It's going to be a great year!
