The networks have selected four Big 12 games to be televised on Saturday, Oct. 4 and the Texas A&M at Texas Tech football game will start at 9 p.m. central in Lubbock. Fox Sports Net will carry the game on a national basis.

The 9 p.m. central start will be the latest for an Aggie football game since the 1980 game between the Aggies and the Houston Cougars kicked at 11:33 p.m. on Oct. 11 in the Astrodome. The two teams had to wait until the Houston Astros finished a major league playoff game against the Philadelphia Phillies. That baseball game went extra innings and time was needed to convert the playing surface from a baseball game to football. The Aggies were outscored by the Cougars, 17-13. The two-day event concluded on Sunday at 2:41 a.m.

This weekend, Texas A&M will host Pittsburgh in a regionally televised ABC contest from Kyle Field, beginning at 2:30 p.m. central.
