For those of you that watched the Virginia Tech game on ESPN, I'll answer some questions that I have been asked regarding my eating habits. Obviously, I don't know exactly what was said because I didn't watch the game on TV, but for those of you that are wondering if I do eat raw meat....I do occasionally. A few years back, my mom had seasoned numerous steaks for my family's dinner. My three younger brothers, my dad, and I were hanging out around the kitchen anxiously awaiting them to be cooked. As it were, mom took too long to get the grill fired up, and we began slicing off and eating small pieces of the steaks. The next thing we knew, there were three or four whole steaks missing! Now, when we have steaks for dinner my mom will prepare a few extra in case she doesn't get to the grill fast enough. As for the pancakes when I was two, that was a true story also.

Contrary to everyone's fears, our flight to Blacksburg was actually a very pleasant and calm one. When we landed in Roanoke, Virginia, the weather couldn't have been better. Wednesday night we went to bed with clear skies, and some of us even thought the game could be rainless. When kickoff came, however, the wind was blowing, rain was pouring, and there was quite a chill in the air. The team was extremely disappointed with the outcome of the game. We were very excited to keep the game close for the first three quarters, but when it slipped out of reach in the fourth we didn't give up and fought to the end. After the disappointing loss we had a long two and a half hour drive to Tennessee due to Isabel where we boarded our plane for the last two hour leg of our trip. We arrived home safely, surviving the hurricane, and we are now back here in Aggieland preparing for another ranked opponent.

Coach Fran has placed an emphasis on us playing more physical for the rest of the season. He said that he was disappointed that we didn't play more physically in the Virginia Tech game. He knows that we played hard and never gave up, but still can't get over the fact that the Aggies didn't play with the intensity that Aggie football is known for.

Pittsburgh is a great team with multiple weapons on offense and defense. The Aggie Football team will really be relying on the 12th Man to step up and be a huge distraction for their offense. They've got a very threatening quarterback/wide receiver connection that could be challenged by the 12th Man and the sound intensity that they're known for. After losing last year to the Aggies, and after a hard loss last week to Toledo, the Panthers will be gunning for us on Saturday. Let's show them what it's like to play in the one of the loudest, and THE best college venue in the nation. BEAT THE HELL OUTTA PITTSBURGH.
