First off, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Joy Davis (September 26). I left her out of the September birthdays last week. Sorry Joy! It won't happen again!
Well, we have the first week of team practices under our belts. The weather didn't look like it was going to allow us to start on Monday, but it turned out to be a beautiful day. It's exciting to be back on the field and working with my teammates again. I feel that we are getting better and better each day we are out there. We have many different people trying out different positions and everyone is getting more comfortable each day.
Our first game is against Blinn on October 8th. The games in the fall are always important so that we are able to see our strengths as well as our weaknesses. It gives us a pretty good base to work from. And, it's always exciting to see how our team performs together.
We have a week and a half and many things to work on before our games start, but so far it's looking great!
