Texas A&M football fans will have the opportunity to receive better radio coverage for the Texas Tech game in the Dallas and San Antonio areas. Thanks to the Texas A&M Athletic Department and Clear Channel Radio, the broadcast rights holder for Texas A&M football and basketball, two extra stations will carry this week's Aggie football game.

The current radio station on the Texas A&M Sports Network in the Dallas market is KFXR AM 1190 and they will be joined for the Texas Tech broadcast by station KWRD FM 100.7. The station is licensed to Highland Village north of Dallas and has a 8100-watt repeater station, KPXI FM, in Overton, Texas, which will cover the Longview market. KWRD FM 100.7 will enhance the night signal broadcast for the Dallas market.

In San Antonio, the Aggie games are usually heard on station KTKR AM 760. The sister station is none other than WOAI AM 1200. This week's game between the Red Raiders and the Aggies will only be heard on WOAI AM 1200.

"We're excited about these changes in the radio lineup," Bill Byrne, Aggie Director of Athletics, said. "From what I understand, the night signal will be much stronger in both the Dallas and San Antonio areas. We will continue to strive for better coverage for our fans."

Kickoff is slated for 9:10 p.m. in Lubbock and the radio pre-game show will begin at 8 p.m. with Dave South calling the action alongside Tim Cassidy with Chris Valletta on the sideline.
