The No. 16-ranked Texas A&M men's golf team will compete at the Club Glove Intercollegiate Monday and Tuesday at Saticoy Country Club.
The tournament will consist of 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday for a total of 54 holes. In addition to A&M, the 12-team field includes Pepperdine, No. 9-ranked Arkansas, Tulsa, No. 11 New Mexico, No. 22 Kansas, Oregon, Houston, Colorado, Coastal Carolina, UC-Irvine and Colorado State.
Representing A&M will be sophomore Andrew Parr, seniors Stephen Reed, David Tasker and Parker Briley, and sophomore Brook Gerky.
"We are excited to be back out playing again," A&M coach J.T. Higgins said. "This is a really strong field of teams and Saticoy Country Club is a good, traditional golf course. It's not real long, but it's tight and demands precision off the tee. We've had a really good week of practice and we hope to see that reflected in our results."
The Aggies is ranked in the national top 25 for the first time since the end of the 1997 season. Reed is ranked No. 41 in the individual national rankings.
