For the second straight night the MuckDogs and the Goblins each won a game in the annual Texas A&M Baseball Fall World Series to force a decisive game five.
Goblins starter Robert Ray hurled four strong innings, allowing three hits and striking out six to earn the win in game one. Kevin Whelan picked up the save for the Goblins.
Craig Stinson led the way offensively for the Goblins as he went 1-for-3 with a double and three RBI.
Will Blackmon suffered the loss for the MuckDogs while Travis Bartek went 2-for-3 with a double in the losing effort.
The Muckdogs rode the arm of Austin Creps to earn a 4-1 win in game four and even the series at two games apiece. Creps allowed six hits while striking out three Goblins' hitters. Doug Frame retired the side in the seventh to earn his second save of the series.
Game five of the Fall World Series will be played Sunday at Olsen Field with first pitch set for 2 p.m.
On Saturday, Texas A&M baseball will host the Alumni game. Batting practice will begin at approximately 4 p.m. and first pitch is set for 7 p.m.
Admission to both events is free.
