
Warren Named Freshman All-American by Rivals.com

| Texas A&M freshman linebacker Justin Warren was named to the 2003 Rivals.com Freshman All-America Team after a strong first season for the Aggies. Warren, from Tyler Lee High School, produced 32 tackles, including four for loss of yardage, while seeing action in all 12 games in 2003. Warren became the first true freshman linebacker to start a season-opening game for the Aggies and ended his first campaign with seven starts. Warren posted a season-high six tackles twice in 2003 - against Arkansas State and Oklahoma. Also mentioned on the Rivals.com list was redshirt freshman running back Courtney Lewis, who received honorable mention distinction after becoming the first Aggie to reach 1,000 yards in rushing since 1998. Lewis was the second freshman in school history to reach the 1,000-yard mark. Lewis finished his first season with 1,024 yards and tied an A&M freshman record with 12 rushing touchdowns. |
