Texas A&M senior guard Bernard King, the Big 12 Conference's career scoring leader, has been named to The Associated Press 2003 All-Big 12 second team.
For the first time since the Big 12 was created in 1996, AP voters made four players unanimous selections to all-conference first team.
Named to the top unit on every ballot were Oklahoma senior Hollis Price, Texas sophomore point guard T.J. Ford and seniors Nick Collison and Kirk Hinrich of regular-season champion Kansas.
Joining them on the first team is Texas Tech junior Andre Emmett, who led Big 12 players in scoring in conference games last season and in all games this year with a 21.9-point average.
The panel of 24 voters that picked the team is comprised entirely of writers on AP newspapers who regularly cover the Big 12.
Joining King on the second team are Missouri's Arthur Johnson, Colorado's Michel Morandais, Texas' James Thomas and Oklahoma State's Victor Williams.
Going into the Big 12 tournament this week in Dallas, King has 1,970 career points.
Hinrich, Price and Emmett are all first-team repeaters from last year.
