Coach Fran Charities Presents Boys and Girls Club Celebrity Golf Classic

The Boys and Girls Clubs of the Brazos Valley announced that head football coach Dennis Franchione at Texas A&M will serve as celebrity host for its annual fund-raising celebrity golf tournament, under the auspices of Coach Fran Charities.
The event, "Coach Fran Charities Presents the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Brazos Valley Celebrity Golf Classic" on June 7-8, is the largest revenue-producing event for the organization each year. Several former and active athletes will participate in the tournament at the Briarcrest Country Club in Bryan.
A dinner and dance featuring both a silent and live auction takes place for event sponsors and golfers Saturday night, June 7, at The Lone Star Saloon in Bryan. The golf is scheduled Sunday, June 8.
Coach Fran Charities is a non-profit foundation operated by Coach Franchione and his wife Kim, dedicated to assisting organizations and events in the Aggie community at large. Its mission focuses on support for children with special needs (www.FranCharities.org). All proceeds raised by the Celebrity Golf Tournament will go directly to the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Brazos Valley, including a donation from Coach Fran Charities.
"We are told that this is one of the largest and most fun social fundraisers in the area," Coach Fran said upon announcing his involvement in the event. "Kim and I feel honored that we have been selected to help this cause. It's a good way for Coach Fran Charities to become directly involved in our new home community."
