Coach Jo Evans and the No. 17 Texas Aggie softball team begin workouts in preparation for the 2004 season at the Aggie Softball Complex today.
Evans returns five all-conference performers from last years team including Lindsay Wilhelmson (P), Jessica Kapchinski (P), Adrian Gregory (IF), Jana James (OF) and Kristin Gunter (UT).
Coach Evans, in her eighth season at A&M, is excited about her team this year and has high expectations for them.
"We had a great fall season and take a lot of excitement and enthusiasm from that. We will be spending the next two weeks in intense practice, preparing for opening day. I have high expectations and we are going to be working hard to fulfill them."
The Aggies open the season against North Texas on Wednesday, February 4, at 5 p.m. at the Aggie Softball Complex.
