The Texas A&M softball team was ranked 18th in the USA Today/NFCA Preseason Division I Top 25 poll released Wednesday.
After being ranked in every poll last season, the Aggies finished the year ranked 17th after posting a 38-22 record and a second consecutive trip to the NCAA Regional Finals. A&M was ranked 17th in the 2004 ESPN.com/USA Softball Preseason Top 25 released last Wednesday.
Head Coach Jo Evans returns for her eighth season at A&M. The Aggies open play against North Texas on Wednesday, February 4 at 5 p.m. at the Aggie Softball Field , part of the Carolyn and Jack Little '60 Athletic Complex.
